I am lucky to have a pretty casual day-to-day wardrobe at work these days, but when I am going out to a meeting, I do have to look a little more buttoned up. Even then I avoid wearing the traditionmal dark suit or all black. For this look I layered a thin heather gray sweater with a gray blazer and my pink “slim cropped” Gap pants. I have these pants in red also and love them because they are so versatile and can easily switch from work appropriate to casual, depending on what shoes and top you pair them with.
I have started taking my own pics with a camera set up on a tripod. After finally getting a little more comfortable posing in alleys while a friend took pics, I now have to get comfortable standing in front of a tripod, while strangers walk by and think I am crazy. I also cant’ get my camera remote to work so I am running back and forth using the timer. If anyone out there reading lives in LA and wants to be my photog – please rescue me from the embarrasment I am currently experiencing !
Pink pants, Gap sim here and here. Gray sweater, sim here. Gray blazer, H&M, sim here. Shoes, old from LF Stores in LA. Necklace, F21.

I am so in love with these pants. What an perfect outfit for work wear. It has some pizzaz but is totally still professional. So cute! And your bare feet are making me hate winter even more!

Such a great outfit!! First, I really like how you layered a sweater under the blazer, and then killed it with a great colored pant!

Pink and gray is a favorite combo of mine. I am hoping to get a tripod and remote soon. It would make things so much easier. Then I could go anywhere I please and take as many photos as I like w/o havng to worry about my husband getting bored.

I think if you are used to posing for another person, posing in front of a tripod is easier, since you have an idea of HOW to pose, and what looks best. I tried to tripod when I just started this blog and it was awful. I had no idea how to stand there without either looking like a corpse or overly posed.

I am hoping I become more comfortable with the tripod. That and I have to find quieter areas to shoot. That is tough to do in a city as busy as LA.

I’m at risk of sounding like a broken record…you do simple, chic really, really well. Lovely outfit today! I love how fresh and spring like the pants are, but you’ve held back just enough with the soft gray sweater and blazer.
I know some bloggers get more comfortable with taking their own photos. But, I completely understand your discomfort. Hope you find someone to help out.
