Not Going Out Like That

Wrap Dress & Fur Vest

My husband and I used to do a holiday dinner for the two of us. Then with the kids, we started doing a holiday lunch, where we took a half day off and went out to a fancy lunch and spent the afternoon together. This year was so busy leading up to the New Year that we never got around to it so we did it yesterday at the Polo Lounge at The Beverly Hills Hotel (where we sat a table away from Diana Ross). I took the opportunity to put on a dress and my cozy fur vest for the ocassion. This wrap dress is so great because it’s a bit shorter than a typical wrap dress, so it plays a little more young and flirty. The vintage looking print makes it look like it could be an expensive DVF number, but it’s not … it’s from Forever 21 ! I also love that you can wear it in the winter with tights or in the Spring with bright heels or sandals.

If you ever visit LA and want to splurge on a fancy lunch, I really recommend The Beverly Hills Hotel. It has that old Hollywood glamour feel that so few places still have. There is always a mega celebrity (usually an older one like Warren Beaty, Diana Ross, or Betty White) and if you can’t splurge on the Polo Lounge you can have a simpler lunch in their little diner style cafe.

  1. That is a cute vest! I need to get some black fur! Cute clutch, too!
